Quartel , also Quarte, was a grain measure in France and a wine measure in Germany .
- France , Sedan 1 quart = 1213 Parisian cubic inches = 24.1 liters
- Germany , Augsburg 1 quarter = 2 eighths = 18 Parisian cubic inches = 7/20 liters
