The Queen Alexandra Range ( English Queen Alexandra Range ) is an approximately 160 km long and up to 4528  m high rising mesas existing mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . The British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton and three companions discovered the mountain range in December 1908 while trying to reach the geographic South Pole as part of the Nimrod expedition , and named it after the British Queen Alexandra .

The highest point of the Queen Alexandra chain and at the same time the highest peak of the entire Transantarctic Mountains is Mount Kirkpatrick (4528 m). Other mountains are Mount Elizabeth (4480 m), Mount Bell (4303 m), Mount Mackellar (4297 m), Fleming Summit (4200 m), Mount Dickerson (4120 m) and Mount Anne (3870 m).
