The Queens-Midtown Tunnel , also Queens Midtown Tunnel , is a toll tunnel under the East River in New York City with a length of 1,955 m. It connects the two districts of Manhattan and Queens on Interstate 495 with two parallel tubes. The Manhattan entrance is between 34th Street and 42nd Street ; in Queens the entrance is between 51st Avenue and 54th Avenue .
