The Mitza Pidighi spring sanctuary is located about 80 meters east of the Nuraghe Pidighi in Solarussa in the province of Oristano in Sardinia . As shown by obsidian arrowheads and fragments of decorated ceramics from the Ozieri culture of the 4th millennium, the source was venerated as early as the prenuragic period.

Between about 1400 and 1000 BC The Holy Spring already had a horseshoe-shaped body and a trapezoidal basin. The water still flows today through a small square inlet with a bowl decoration at the base into an approximately 21.0 meter long channel made of basalt blocks . Around the year 1000 BC A small semicircular wall was built in front of the spring. Within this area there is a large plate, which originally lay on a base made of small plates and could have acted as an altar and represents a cult site. Around 900 BC The source sanctuary and the neighboring settlement were abandoned.
