Quinn E. Slobodian (* 1978 in Edmonton ) is a Canadian historian who conducts research in the fields of contemporary history and globalization and has been an Associate Professor at Wellesley College , Mass. Since 2015 . , teaches.

Life

Slobodian began studying history on a scholarship from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree. In 2008 he received his PhD in Modern History from the State University of New York . He interrupted his teaching at Wellesley College for one year in 2017 as a Residential Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University .

His research areas are the history of neoliberalism and the Cold War era .

Honors

In 2019, Slobodian was awarded the George Louis Beer Prize by the American Historical Association (AHA) for its work Globalists .
