Quintus Aemilius Barbula

Quintus Aemilius Barbula was a Roman politician from the Aemilians . He was in 317 BC BC and 311 BC BC Roman consul . His counterpart during both consulates was Gaius Junius Bubulcus Brutus .

According to Livy, both consuls of the year 317 BC A command in Apulia and Lucania .

The Fasti triumphales record for the year 311 BC. BC on the Ides of Sextilis (June 13th) a triumphal procession of the two consuls Aemilius Barbula and Iunius Bubulcus for a victory over the Etruscans , which however is regarded as fictitious by scholars.

His full name was Q. Aimilius Q. f. L. n. Barbula . The forms Barbulo and Balbulo have also been handed down for the cognomen Barbula .
