Régis Franc

Régis Franc (born February 11, 1948 in Lézignan-Corbières ) is a French comic artist and director .

After a few years as a photographer, he drew his first comics for Pilote , L'Echo des Savannes and Charlie Mensuel . In the late 1970s he drew the comic strip La Café de la plage for the Le Matin de Paris newspaper every day for 3 years. In the 1980s he created the humorous series Tonton Marcel about a nouveau riche for the magazine (à suivre) , which was reprinted in 3 albums in France. In Germany, his short stories were published in Pilot magazine .

Franc also co-wrote two films by Danièle Dubroux , and in 1991 he finally directed the film Mauvaise fille with Florence Pernel and Yvan Attal .
