Régis Le Bris (born December 6, 1975 in Pont-l'Abbé ) is a former French football player and current coach.
Player career
Le Bris began playing football at a small club from Quimper before moving to the largest club in town, the Quimper CFC . From there he signed Stade Rennes , where he moved up to the first team in 1995 together with his brother Benoît Le Bris . In 1995/96 he made his debut in the first division . After two missions in his first season, his numbers fluctuated from season to season, including the 1997/98 season with 15 games, including 11 from the start, the best. Because he could not establish himself in the team, he decided in 1999 to move to the second division Stade Laval . Although Le Bris was used more often there, he could not become a regular in Laval either. In 2002 he signed with the Belgian second division club KSK Ronse , where he was not used. He ended his career in 2003 at the age of just 27.
Coaching career
Following his playing career, he decided to continue his career as a coach. Because he lived in Belgium near Wasquehal on the Belgian-French border during his year, he was first a youth coach at ES Wasquehal . From 2005 he worked as a youth coach at his former club Stade Rennes. With the U-18 team, he became French youth champion in 2007. A year later he won the Coupe Gambardella for U-19 teams. In June 2012 he moved to FC Lorient to head the youth department there.
