Career

Rey, who was part of the French national team from 1951 to 1956, made his international debut with the start at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo . He jumped from the normal hill to 38th place in the individual. Two years later at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 1954 , he jumped 63 and 62.5 meters and thus reached rank 56 on the normal hill.

In Cortina d'Ampezzo , Rey failed to improve his result from Oslo in 1952 at the 1956 Winter Olympics . After weak jumps he was on the normal hill level on points with the Italian Enzo Perin in 48th place. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1958 in Finland's Lahti he has not raced for when France sent no jumpers to Finland.

Robert's brother Robert Rey was also active as a ski jumper.
