The Réseau des sports (RDS) is a Canadian , French-speaking television station from the province of Québec , based in Montreal . The station is operated by Bell Media and broadcasts exclusively sports TV around the clock. RDS is the French-speaking counterpart to The Sports Network and went on the air on September 1, 1989, making it the first French-speaking sports channel in Canada. He is best known for broadcasting Canadiens de Montréal games from the National Hockey League .
