The Río San Luis is a river located in the Rocha department in eastern Uruguay .

The 110 km long and fourth largest tributary of the Laguna Merín rises in the Cuchilla de la Carbonera in the Departamento Rocha and runs through it to the confluence with the Laguna Merín. The river only bears this name from the Estancia Campo Alto , above the river Arroyo Sarindi . On its way there, the water of the river, which is fed by numerous brooks, is mainly used for rice cultivation in this region. Its catchment area is 2360 m².
