The Río Shushufindi is an approximately 80 km long right tributary of the Río Aguarico in the province of Sucumbíos in Ecuador .
River course
The Río Shushufindi rises north of the town of Siete de Julio , 12 km west of the town of the same name Shushufindi . It flows strongly meandering in an easterly direction through the Amazon basin . It runs at river kilometer 57 along the northern outskirts of Shushufindi. 43 km above the mouth, the Río La Sur , the most important tributary, meets the Río Shushufindi on the right. This finally flows south of San Pablo de Kantesiaya into the Río Aguarico.
