Róbert Nádler
Róbert Nádler (born April 22, 1858 in Pest , † June 7, 1938 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian landscape and genre painter.
Róbert Nádler studied since October 19, 1874 in the class of antiquities at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich . as well as architecture at the Technical University in Vienna and worked for the architect Emil von Förster in Vienna in 1880 and for Miklós Ybl in Budapest in 1881 . From 1883 Nádler studied landscape painting with Emil Jakob Schindler in Vienna for two years . He went on study trips to South Tyrol, Bavaria, Italy, France and Egypt.
In 1889 he was appointed professor of ornamentation at the National Model Drawing School in Budapest.
From 1915 he held the post of director of the Landes-Kunstgewerbeschule, in 1916 full professor of ornamental theory and drawing at the Technical University of Budapest. In 1929 he retired.
From 1919 to 1929 he was President of the Association of Hungarian Visual Artists.
