Rönnebeck is a district of Sonnenberg in the Oberhavel district in Brandenburg .

history

The place was first mentioned as Rennebeke in 1290 . The place has the shape of a street village . Around 1490, Rönnebeck was part of the Ruppin rule, which was essentially imperial, under the rule of the Counts of Lindow-Ruppin . He was part of the Lindow Monastery until 1541 , then the Lindow Office until 1764 and finally the Alt-Ruppin Office until 1872 .

From 1930 to 1945 there was a rail connection through the station to the connecting line from the Stechlinseebahn to the Löwenberg-Lindow-Rheinsberger Eisenbahn .

Rönnebeck was incorporated into Sonnenberg together with Schulzendorf on October 26, 2003 .

Village church

A listed stone church from the 13th century, it is surrounded by a stone wall with two late Gothic brick portals.

Rönnebeck cemetery linden tree

Is located south of the church in the cemetery wall. The solitary summer linden tree shows a broken, hollow trunk. Despite the crown, which is only partially intact, it reaches a height of approx. 20 meters. Their age is estimated to be 400–500 years.

Rönnebeck court linden tree

(Natural monument). Stands west of the church and outside the churchyard in front of the churchyard gate. This summer linden tree, also standing alone, called the court linden tree, also has a hollow trunk with openings on both sides. It is also estimated to be 400–500 years old.

Rönnebeck church linden tree

(Natural monument). Is referred to in the list of natural monuments as "Old Linden". It stands north of the church, in the middle of the churchyard. This summer linden tree, also standing alone, is the mightiest and oldest of the three linden trees. Its trunk is also open on one side. Her estimated age is 600–800 years. In older publications (Ruppiner Heimathefte from 1937) it is referred to as the old Rönnebeck court linden tree .
