The Gransee – Neuglobsow small railway was a railway line in the north of Brandenburg . It was built by Kleinbahn AG Gransee-Neuglobsow , founded on July 5, 1928, and operated by Ruppiner Eisenbahn AG since August 8, 1930. Due to its location, the line was also given the nickname Stechlinseebahn .

The standard-gauge line ran from Gransee on the main line Berlin – Neustrelitz in a north-westerly direction via Schulzendorf (9 km) to Neuglobsow (23 km) near the Großer Stechlinsee . From Schulzendorf there was a nine-kilometer connection southwest to Lindow (Mark) on the Herzberg – Rheinsberg route operated by Ruppiner Eisenbahn AG.

Even before the First World War , the Ruppin district had begun to build a railway that would open up the wooded area near the Mecklenburg border for timber transport, but also for tourism. The course of the war prevented further construction.
A new company was only founded ten years after the end of the war. Three quarters of the share capital was owned equally by the German Reich, the Prussian state and the province of Brandenburg. The Ruppin district had an 11% stake and the rest was accounted for by the city of Gransee and another ten municipalities as well as the forestry treasury. The line was opened on August 8, 1930. After initial difficulties, the volume of traffic developed satisfactorily. All train traffic was handled with a steam locomotive and a railcar .
In the summer of 1945 the entire railway was dismantled as a reparation payment . When the section from Gransee to Großwoltersdorf (14 km) was rebuilt by the Deutsche Reichsbahn for military reasons in 1952 , it was again used for passenger traffic until June 1, 1969. The line was still in operation until December 31, 1995 to Schulzendorf – Wolfsruh, where the Bundeswehr had a depot. The line was closed on June 1, 1996, and the track dismantled in 2006.
The route on the Menz – Neuglobsow section can now be used as a cycle path .
