The Röthsee is a lake in the municipality of Kratzeburg in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It lies east of the Müritz in the Müritz National Park and is traversed by the Upper Havel . This flows north from Dambecker See and south-west near Kratzeburg to Käbelicksee . The Havel is not yet suitable for water hikes up to the Käbelicksee tributary.
The lake is about 700 meters long in north-south direction, it is a maximum of 400 meters wide.
Directly west of the Havel connection from Dambecker See to Röthsee is a small lake that Dambeckers call "Kunkel" and is only separated from Röthsee by an approx. 130 meter wide land zone.
