Flashback (TV show)
Rückblende was the title of television programs on contemporary history by the former broadcaster Free Berlin , the successor broadcaster RBB , WDR and ZDF .

Conceived in 1983 by Alexander von Bentheim , it initially showed a selection of contributions from the Berliner Abendschau of the same week 25 years earlier. The contributions were announced and changes that have occurred in the meantime were briefly highlighted. The broadcast slot was on Mondays from 9.45 p.m. to 10 p.m. At the end of February 2004, after the merger of SFB and ORB and the merging of the programs, the program was initially discontinued. It was resumed on January 7, 2005, but now with a review of 15-year-old posts to include East Berliners and Brandenburgers . In the West Berlin of 1980 years was thus never return dazzled. The new slot was initially Friday 9.45pm, then Thursday at the same time. In October 2007 the program was discontinued.
In addition to von Bentheim, the presenters of the SFB programs were also Guido Weber , Siegfried Schenk and Siegfried Wiechmann, and at RBB Elvira Siebert and Jochen Sprentzel alternated. The audience rating reached up to 230,000 viewers.

Flashback was an unmoderated history series of the WDR from 1983 to 2000. The 15-minute broadcast was accompanied by historical video and photo recordings. The series was replaced by the new documentary series WDR-dok. The broadcast was u. a. repeated on BR-alpha .

Flashback was a section of the ZDFdokukanal for contemporary historical documentaries from the ZDF archive. The duration of the broadcasts was based on the original material. The rubric ended with the conversion of the ZDFdoku channel to ZDFneo .
