Rückschlag is a homestead near the Monschau district of Konzen in the city ​​region of Aachen , North Rhine-Westphalia at approx. 550  m above sea level. NHN .

The only 1.5 hectare area is the smallest exclave in Germany and is surrounded by Belgian territory . The exclave was created by the course of the Vennbahn , which runs right next to Rückschlag and whose route is Belgian territory. In the urban area of ​​Monschau there are further German exclaves: Mützenich , Ruitzhof , further north parts of Roetgen and parts of the district Lammersdorf belonging to Simmerath .

On January 1, 1972, setback came together with the municipality of Konzen zu Monschau.

The building, an angular construction in the typical local half-timbered style, was built according to the name in the gable facade in 1877. Like the entire property according to the purchase agreement, it has been owned by the Call family since 1929. The address of the building is Auf Aderich 33.
