Rüdiger Butter (* 1963 in Münster ) is a German poet .

Life

Butter has lived in Mainz since 1969 . From 1982 to 1985 he studied journalism, history and German. From 1985 he held readings in Mainz and the surrounding area, among others at the Mainz Minipressen-Messe , in the Kulturzentrum (KUZ) Mainz, in Unterhaus Mainz , in the slaughterhouse Wiesbaden and at the Kulturwochen Bad Dürkheim . In 1997 his volume of poetry was published, Butter sucht.Schreiber sticks .

His second book, Fundsache , was published in 1999 with the support of the Ministry for Culture, Youth, Family and Women in Rhineland-Palatinate . In 2000 he began working on the cycle of German cities. The editorially managed poetry database of the book retailer Jokers recorded his poem Das Duell in 2008 and once through Italian cuisine in 2009 .

In 2009 he received a scholarship at the Maison Jules Roy in Vézelay , Burgundy . The residence grant is awarded once a year by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in cooperation with the Burgundy region.

In 2010 he took part in the photographic / lyrical exhibition Leaves of Autumn in the Burgundy House (Maison der Bourgogne) in Mainz.

September 2013 won the poetry competition "Der Rhein" of the Cantando-Parlando eV Sankt Augustin association.
