Rüdiger Noack (born November 30, 1944 in Weißwasser ) is a former GDR ice hockey player , coach and functionary .

Career

From 1961 to 1977 the striker won 12 GDR championship titles with Dynamo Weißwasser . For the GDR he completed 241 international games and took part in twelve world championships, including seven A tournaments and five B tournaments as well as the Winter Olympics in Grenoble . At the European ice hockey championship in 1966 he won the bronze medal.

After the end of his playing career, he took over the coaching position at Dynamo Weißwasser and won another three championship titles. From 1977 to 1982 he was a coaching assistant for the GDR national team and shortly before the fall of the Wall, he took over the office of GDR state coach .

For the 1990/91 season he took over the chairmanship of Dynamo Weißwasser. After a year as a manager at SV Bayreuth , he moved to Krefelder EV and was initially the sporting director of the KEV youngsters. From 1995 to 2001 he took over the sporting direction and management of the Krefeld Penguins .

Rüdiger Noack was employed by the city of Krefeld until 2009 and was responsible for school sports in Krefeld.
