Rudiger Schrader

Rüdiger Schrader (born February 9, 1957 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist and photographer .

Life

Schrader was chief photographer at dpa from 1985 to 1988 , where he took the famous photo of "Boris-Becker-Hecht" in the men's final of the All England Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon in 1985. From 1989 to 1994 he was the head of photography at Stern . The lawyer was also a co-founder of the magazine “ Gala ” and worked from 1995 to 2013 as a photo boss at Focus . Schrader is a jury member for the Sports Photo of the Year and the Hansel Mieth Prize , as well as a member of the German Society for Photography (DGPh).

Schrader lives and works as a coach and consultant in Düsseldorf and is a lecturer at various journalism schools.
