Ridvan ( Arabic رضوان, DMG Riḍwān  'Paradise, Angel') is used as a male first name . In Islam , Ridwān is an angel who guards paradise. Thus the first name Ridvan means "guardian of paradise". The name is used in Islamic countries, but especially in Turkey (Rıdvan) , Albania , Iraq and Iran . The Turkish form of the name is Rıdvan.
