The Route 50 is a highway in Jordan . The road is a short east-west route in the south of the country, between Route 65 in the Jordan Valley and Route 15 in the desert. The main town on the route is Karak . The route is 66 km long.
Street description
The road starts at Al Mazraa in the Jordan Valley on Route 65 , about 320 meters below sea level. The road climbs to almost 1000 m above sea level on the plateau east of the Jordan Valley to Karak where it crosses Route 35 . From Karak the road is partly designed with 2 × 2 lanes. The road ends south of Al Qatrana in a trumpet- shaped motorway junction and then continues as Route 15 .

Route 50 is important for tourism, from Amman to the Dead Sea Route 15 and Route 35 are one of the most frequently used routes. On the other hand, the archaeological city of Petra can be reached via Route 35 for tourists.
