The Route 60 is a highway in Jordan . The road is an east-west connection in the south of the country, from Feifa to Jurf al Darawish . The path is about 60 km long.
Street description
Route 60 begins at Feifa, south of the Dead Sea , not far from the border with Israel . The road branches off from Route 65 at 300 meters below sea level and then climbs in a winding direction to over 1,000 meters above sea level in an easterly direction. It leads through spectacular mountains to Tafila, where it crosses the King's Road (Route 35 ). Route 60 then extends wider across a flat plateau in a south-westerly direction to Jurf Darawish and ends there on Route 15 ( Desert Highway ).
meaning
Route 60 is south of the Dead Sea the only cross connection between the three major north-south arteries. Tourists who drive to Petra from the Dead Sea also use this route.
