Paul Cameron (cinematographer)
Paul Cameron (born May 30, 1958 in Montreal ) is a Canadian cameraman .
Life
Born in Canada, Cameron grew up in New York City . He graduated from the State University of New York . From the early 1980s he worked as a camera assistant and simple cameraman and as such took part in several concert films and documentaries. He has been working as an independent cameraman since 1986. He was involved in the production of several music videos as well as commercials and is active as a director in the advertising industry.
For their work on Collateral (2004), Cameron and his colleague Dion Beebe received the British Academy Film Award in the category Best Cinematography in 2005. They also received an award at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards in 2004, also for Best Cinematography .
He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2006 .
