Maria Theresia von Sulz

Maria Theresia von Sulz (born September 21, 1634 in Vienna ; † August 19, 1692 ) was an abbess of the free-world Buchau women's monastery in today's Bad Buchau am Federsee .

Life

Maria Theresa came from the southern German noble family of the Counts of Sulz . Her parents were Karl Ludwig Ernst von Sulz and Maria Elisabeth von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen . She had five siblings, Maria Elisabeth, Johann Ludwig, Christoph Alwig, Maria Katharina and a stepbrother named Leopold Karl.

Coating and election as abbess took place in 1669. Therefore, before the consecration and confirmation by him, the Bishop of Constance arranged an inquisition about the lifestyle and suitability of the new abbess.
