Francisco López Hernández
Francisco López Hernández (born April 28, 1932 in Madrid ; † January 8, 2017 there ) was a Spanish sculptor and draftsman .
Life
As the son of a goldsmith, he was already in contact with artistic work as a child. His brother, the Spanish sculptor Julio López Hernández (* 1930) was married to the painter Esperanza Parada (* 1928).
Francisco López Hernández studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid with José Capuz . In 1960 he married the painter Isabel Quintanilla (* 1938) and from 1969 taught at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid.
Close friends were the Spanish painter Lucio Muñoz (1929 to 1998), his wife, the painter Amalia Avia (1930 to 2011) and the painter Antonio López Garcia (* 1936), married to the painter María Moreno (* 1933). With the Madrid-based, realistic painters Eduardo Naranjo (* 1944), Carmen Laffón (* 1934), Cristóbal Toral (* 1940), José Hernández (1944–2013), Daniel Quintero (* 1949), Félix de la Concha (* 1962), Menéndez Morán (* 1956), Carlos Díez Bustos (* 1959) and the painter and photographer José Manuel Ballester (* 1960) they were known.
