Course of the road

The R25 (Route 25) is a trunk road in Jordan . The road is a north-south route in the north of the country, from the Syrian border at Ramtha to the capital Amman . The road is 110 km long.

Street description

The road begins on the border with Syria north of Ramtha. On the Syrian side it goes as route 5 to Daraa . The road has 2 × 2 lanes and runs through the city of Ramtha. In the south it crosses Route 10 in a motorway junction shaped like a clover. In the village of Neaime, she also crosses Route 35 via a clover leaf shape . The road then continues towards Zarqa , but only in one lane. This part of the route is less important because it runs between Route 15 and Route 35.

From Zarqa the road is again expanded with 2 × 2 lanes and crosses Route 30 , which begins here and leads to the border of Saudi Arabia . The road forms the bypass of Amman. This part consists of 2 × 3 lanes and is not a full motorway. The road runs along the east side of Amman past the suburbs. Route 40 is crossed by a shamrock and then ends south of Amman on Route 35 and Route 15.

history

Route 25 has always been a main road and is partly of minor importance as there are alternative connections in northern Jordan. The part between Zarqa and Amman in particular has little traffic.
