RCN Radio (written out Radio Cadena Nacional SA ) is a private Colombian radio network with nationally connected local radio stations. In addition to RCN Radio, there is also RCN Televisión . Over 3500 people work at RCN. The company is based in Bogotá and belongs to the Organización Ardila Lülle of the founder and magnate Carlos Ardila Lülle .

history

According to the digital book by RCN Radio, the station was born on April 9, 1948 by chance in Cali , on the occasion of the First Eucharistic Congress in Colombia. The conference was broadcast to all parts of the country at that time via shortwave and was a complete success. For the first time Colombians heard the name Radio Cadena Nacional (RCN) on the radio.
