The RFS 102 Volgodonsk or RFS 014 Volgodonsk (project 21630) is the first mass-produced ship of the Bujan class and the newest corvette of the Russian Navy . It was built by the St. Petersburg shipbuilding company "Almas" ( Russian ОАО Судостроительная фирма "Алмаз" transcription OAO Sudostroitelnaja firma "Almas" ), in December 2011 it was taken over by the Navy and assigned to the Caspian Flotilla . Due to its late delivery, however , the Volgodonsk had to winter in the naval base of the Baltic Fleet in Baltiysk before it was officially taken over by the Caspian Flotilla after its transfer on July 24, 2012. The RFS 102 Volgodonsk is a modern gunboat with stealth technology for coastal and inland water protection. The ship was photographed in 2011 with board numbers 702 and 161 and in 2015 bears board number 014. The corvette was named after the southern Russian city of Volgodonsk .
