RIGOL Technologies, or RIGOL, is a Chinese manufacturer of electronic test equipment. Between 2012 and 2018, the company sold around 60,000 oscilloscopes in Europe .
Company profile
RIGOL was founded in Beijing in 1998 and presented the first product, a DSO , in May 1999. RIGOL currently has offices in Cleveland, Ohio , Oregon and Munich , in addition to its headquarters in Suzhou and Beijing. The company now has more than 500 employees and 493 patents.
Products
Rigol was the OEM for the Agilent DSO1000 series, which was also available directly from Rigol in a similar housing shape.
In 2018, the company launched both the real-time spectrum analyzer RSA5000 and the oscilloscope series MSO7000 and MSO5000 based on the Ultravision-II platform. With these devices, Rigol is the first Chinese manufacturer whose oscilloscopes are based on their own ASICs . The Phoenix chipset used in the MSO5000 and MSO7000 comprises a number of components:
- Active probe amplifier chip (Gamma Phoenicis) with 6 GHz bandwidth
- Analog front end chip (Beta Phoenicis) with 4 GHz bandwidth
- Signal processing chip (Ankaa) with 6 GHz bandwidth and 10 GS / s
