RK Crvenka (full official name in Serbian : Pукометни клуб Црвенка, Rukometni Klub Crvenka ) is a Serbian handball club from Crvenka .

history

The club, founded in 1952, celebrated its greatest success in the late 1960s and early 1970s. During this period, RK Crvenka won the Yugoslav Cup in 1967 and reached the final in 1971. In 1968 they became runner-up and in 1969 they finally won the Yugoslav championship under Vlado Štencl . In addition, they reached the semi-finals of the European Cup in 1970 . There they were defeated by SC Dynamo Berlin-Ost with a total of 19:20. In 1973 and 1979 two more runner-up championships followed. The last major successes were reaching the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985 , the Cup victory in 1988 and reaching the Cup final in 1999. The association's main sponsor for many years is the Jaffa food company , which produces confectionery and other foods .
