Raúl López Gómez (born February 23, 1993 in Zapopan , Jalisco ) is a Mexican soccer player who is mainly used in midfield .
career
López has been under contract with Deportivo Guadalajara since 2009 . After he had been used almost exclusively for various reserve teams from Chivas in the Tercera and Segunda División in the first few years , he made a total of four appearances for the first team in the Primera División in the 2013 Clausura . Appearances in the first division remained the exception for López, however, and in order to gain match practice, he was loaned to the second division UAT Correcaminos in the Apertura 2014 , with whom he reached the finals against the CD Estudiantes Tecos , which is located in his hometown , which after two draws (1: 1 and 0: 0) were only lost on penalties . The next half-season he spent on loan at newly in the second division recorded Deportivo Tepic , with whom he in the Apertura 2014 also reached the finals. These were also lost on penalties against the traditional club Club Necaxa (after 0-0 and 4-4).
For the 2015 Clausura , López was not only brought back to the Chivas first team, but was also part of the new regular formation from the start. He was used in all 17 games of the league round and even played 14 of them over the full distance.
His greatest success so far with Chivas was winning the Cup in Apertura 2015 , in which López played in the victorious cup final against Club León (1-0).
