Raúl Servín Moretti (born April 29, 1963 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican football player on the position of defender who has been working in the youth division of the UNAM Pumas for several years and has been training its U-20 team since 2011.

His son of the same name, Raúl Servín Molina (* 1990), has been playing for several years as a footballer for the Mexican second division club Pumas Morelos , the UNAM Pumas branch team.

Servín played for almost a full decade with the UNAM Pumas between 1980 and 1989 . At the end of the season in 1988/89 he left the Pumas in order to confuse the club every year: 1989/90 he went to Morelia and played for the Monarcas . He then returned to his hometown and signed a contract with Cruz Azul , the city ​​rival of his ex-club . In 1991/92 he played for Atlas Guadalajara and 1992/93 again for Cruz Azul, before ending his active career in the 1993/94 season with Toros Neza .

National team

Raúl Servín made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team in a friendly game against Italy on June 2, 1985, which ended 1-1. His first international goal was on October 22, 1985 in a 2-2 draw against the United Arab Emirates.

The highlight of his international playing career was his participation in the 1986 soccer world championship held in his own country , in which he played all five matches of the hosts in full and scored the goal in the round of 16 against Bulgaria to make it 2-0.

He scored two more international goals in the 13-0 win against Bermuda on April 28, 1987. His last appearance for "el Tri" was on May 13, 1990 in a 2-1 win over Canada.
