Ražnjići [ ˈraʒɲitɕi ] ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ражњићи ; plural derived from Serbo-Croatian s ražnja = "from the grate ") is the common name for grilled meat skewers in the Serbo-Croatian-speaking part of south-eastern Europe . In the German-speaking countries came court mid-20th century on the Viennese cuisine .

preparation

It is mainly prepared with pork , but veal , lamb or chicken can also be used individually or together with pork. The meat is cut into flat cuboids and sometimes alternately put on skewers with pieces of vegetables such as peppers or onions and grilled. Ražnjići are often served with raw onions and ajvar .
