Rachel Hurd-Wood

Rachel Clare Hurd-Wood (born August 17, 1990 in London , England ) is a British actress .

biography

Rachel Hurd-Wood was born in London. At the age of eight she moved to Godalming with her parents and her younger brother Patrick . Today she lives in Surrey near London .

In 2003, her grandparents saw an advertisement on English television that the "English Rose" was wanted. They called Rachel's mother and shortly afterwards she got her first role in the movie Peter Pan , in which she played the part of Wendy Darling. Shortly thereafter, she got a small but important role in the British television film Sherlock Holmes - The Silk Stocking Killer .

She gained greater fame through the role of "Laure Richis" in Tom Tykwer's Perfume - The Story of a Murderer , based on the novel of the same name by Patrick Süskind .

In 2008 she starred with actor James Purefoy in the film Solomon Kane . In 2009 she starred in the Oscar Wilde film The Portrait of Dorian Gray, with Ben Barnes , among others .
