Rachel Yvonne Melhado (born September 24, 1992 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a former Canadian-Jamaican soccer player .
Career
societies
During her studies at the University of Louisville , Melhado played for the local university team of the Louisville Cardinals from 2010 to 2013 and also played for the W-League franchises of the Toronto Lady Lynx and Seattle Sounders Women . For the second half of the 2014/15 season , she moved to Bundesliga club Herford SV . Melhado played there in five games before signing with league rivals FF USV Jena in May 2015 . On December 19, 2016, she terminated her contract with FF USV Jena and announced a career interruption due to pregnancy.
National team
Melhado went through the Canadian junior national teams in the age groups U-18 and U-20 from 2010 and took part in the U-20 World Cup in 2012 with the latter . On June 19, 2013, she played her only A international match so far in a friendly against Germany .
