Radau (own spelling: RADAU! ) Is a four-piece band from Hamburg that has been offering rock music for children and parents since 1997 .
history
The children are always encouraged to participate in their stage shows. With their motto "Guaranteed recorder-free", Radau! so far five records from the publishing house Oetinger audio , which until then only had radio plays and audio books for children in its program. The style of music can be compared to the Doctors , Red Hot Chili Peppers or The Police . The band has been under contract with the Hamburg label German Wahnsinn Records since 2016.
From 2008 to 2015 Olle Wolski was on drums. The drummer Achim Erz has been a permanent member of the band since 2016, who also plays with Bernd Begemann and the Liberation.
The album Preferably loud! contains, among other things, the video clip for the title Piraten as well as the knight song , which achieved the most jury points at the Geraldino Kinderliederpreis 2004. The CD is turned up! comes up with a wider musical spectrum than I prefer loud and is enriched with stylistic elements from Samba ( In the rainforest on Borneo ), Ska ( I want to see Grandma ) or Swing ( Meschugge ). The album full up! In addition to a wide range of topics and music, it also contains three title songs that the band has produced for audio books. Various guest musicians were involved in the fourth album Das Blaue vom Himmel . 13 different musicians from the field of children's music contributed to the title song. In 2013 a compilation of twenty songs was released under the title "The 20 very best songs for children", which contains an English version of the knight's song ( Good Knight ) as a bonus track . In 2016 Christmas appeared with RADAU! with nine own songs and seven cover versions of selected Christmas classics. The band released their eighth studio album in 2017 with Top Secret .
