The Radebeuler BC 08 is a German soccer club from Radebeul in the district of Meißen . The club was created in 1998 from the merger of the two football departments of BSV Chemie Radebeul and SSV Planeta Radebeul. The club sees itself as the successor to Radebeuler BC. The home of the club is the Weinbergstadion .

The Radebeuler BC 08 sees itself as the successor to the Radebeuler BC, which existed between 1908 and 1945 and as the successor to the BSG Chemie Radebeul, which once took part in the FDGB Cup during the GDR era.
Radebeuler BC
The Radebeuler BC was founded in 1908, but formed a brief war sports community with Brandenburg 01 Dresden during the First World War . On a sporting level, the club played in the regional area of Eastern Saxony until 1945, and no participation in the Gauliga Sachsen took place.
BSG Chemie Radebeul
Following the Second World War, the RBC was dissolved in 1945 and re-established as SG Radebeul-Ost . The sports community initially operated in the Saxon regional league ( SBZ ), and was consistently secure in the middle of the field behind the clearly dominant SG Dresden-Friedrichstadt . In 1947 the name was changed to ALCID Radebeul . With the entry of the carrier company VEB Chemische Fabrik v. Heyden , the Saxons again changed their name to BSG Chemie Radebeul .
Chemistry Radebeul was a founding member of the third-class district league Dresden, which was founded in 1952 . Radebeul initially only held the top division of the Dresden district for one season. BSG Chemie Radebeul competed nationwide in the FDGB Cup 1954/55 , in which it was defeated by Tractor Teuchern 1: 4 in the second main round. In the period that followed, he did not return to the Dresden District League until 1983, which had to leave chemistry in 1987.
BSV Chemie Radebeul
As a result of the peaceful revolution and reunification , the BSG Chemie Radebeul dissolved and the members founded the BSV Chemie Radebeul as a successor association. The BSV Chemie Radebeul currently has the following departments

In 1998 the soccer departments of Chemie Radebeul and Planeta Radebeul merged to form the historic Radebeul BC 08. The current division of the 1st men's team is the Sachsenliga (6th division) after being promoted from the state class in 2017 .
