NB-Radiotreff 88.0 is an open channel radio of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania media authority .

It is available to all residents of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a community radio . The program is broadcast in the Neubrandenburg area on the frequency 88.0 MHz. The transmitter employs five people and has four studios at its headquarters in Neubrandenburg. In cooperation with local associations, the open channel maintains two outdoor studios. One in Malchin and one in Greifswald . In addition, NB-Radiotreff 88.0 has a media tracker. This is a VW bus , which is equipped with radio technology, and drives through the whole of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and goes to schools and makes a radio broadcast there with the students who cannot come to Neubrandenburg or the outdoor studios.

Outdoor studios

The studio in Malchin was put into operation on July 1, 2003 with the support of the Welle Kummerower See eV association . Later it was operated together with the support of the Democratic Women's Association , regional office in Neubrandenburg. Studio Malchin has been operated directly by MMV with the support of the city since January 2018 . In the Malchin area, the same program is broadcast on the frequency 98.7 MHz as on the Neubrandenburg frequency, in which the programs of Studio Malchin are integrated (Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Monday to Sunday 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.).

In Greifswald , NB-Radiotreff 88.0 broadcasts on the 98.1 MHz frequency. A four-hour local program under the name radio 98eins will be broadcast Monday to Sunday from 7 p.m. , which will be produced in an outdoor studio that opened on January 7, 2005. For the rest of the time, the program is taken over by NB-Radiotreff 88.0 from Neubrandenburg .
