Radio Lignano International

Radio Lignano International ( Radio Lignano or RLI for short ) was a German-language radio broadcaster for holidaymakers from an Austrian program provider that could also be received in the Italian metropolitan city of Venice for 15 years (from 1984 to 1999) . In the first year the VHF frequencies 102.1 and 106.7 MHz were broadcast, from 1985 on 106.6 MHz. In the mid-1990s, there was a change to the 107.6 MHz frequency. Only in 1992 was the former Radio Adria frequency 98.65 MHz used.

The transmitter location for the frequency 102.1 MHz was the studio building in Via Cimarosa 4 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, on 106.6, 106.7 and 107.6 MHz the Piancavallo was broadcasting. The location of the 98.65 MHz was the Monte Cimone. In the second half of the 1990s, the distinctive intro of the news program RTL aktuell served as the signature melody .

Today there is another radio station called "Radio Lignano" that broadcasts in Italian .
