Manfred Riha (born June 20, 1956 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist, radio presenter and DJ .

Life

Manfred Riha's father was the journalist, cabaret artist and writer Fritz Riha (1921-2016). He spent the first years of his life with his parents on extensive touring trips with the cabaret "Wiener Werkel" in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The family did not settle in Vienna until he started school in 1962. Since 1981 Manfred Riha has worked for the ARBÖ information service and since 1986 a freelance journalist for the ARBÖ club journal “Freie Fahrt”. In 2011 he became managing director of the Camping and Caravaning Club Austria (CCA), a partner club of the ARBÖ.

Manfred Riha has lived in Vienna-Donaustadt with his wife and daughter since 1994 .

Radio presenter

In 1977 Manfred Riha began his radio career with the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation in series such as “Radio Wien Familienmagazin”, the “Complaint Mailbox”, “Keyword Vienna” and “ Motorists on the Road ”. From 1986 Riha worked for the first time as a presenter for the radio stations " Radio Lignano International " (discontinued in 1999), since 1990 for " Radio CD International " in Bratislava (in German for Eastern Austria, since private broadcasters were still banned in Austria at that time - then from Stationed in Lugner City from 1993 to 1996 ), “ Radio RPN ” (1999–2000), one year at “ 88.6 ” and finally from 2001 on “ Radio Arabella ”. As "Mr. Music ”he moderated the“ Arabella Hit Afternoon ”, the program“ Alle gegen Riha ”and, as a DJ and moderator, led through the oldie party in the Wiener Stadthalle , Danube Island Festival , dance events and presentations. He presented his last radio show on December 17, 2010 on Radio Arabella.
