Radio PSR (own spelling: RADIO PSR ) is a private radio broadcaster in Saxony ( Germany ). The abbreviation PSR stands for "Privater Sächsischer Rundfunk".

history

After 1990, RADIO PSR was the first private broadcaster to receive a broadcasting license from the Saxon State Media Authority (SLM) . On July 1, 1992, the radio station made its first broadcast in Leipzig . In 2005, the station moved from its first quarters on Delitzscher Strasse to the modern radio center at Thomasgasse 2. From 1995 to 1998, Böttcher & Fischer hosted the weekly morning show and helped the station to increase the number of listeners.

On January 1st, 1998 the me. marketing im radio GmbH & Co. KG founded as a regional private radio marketing company. Today the me.) Marketing im radio markets as a brand of REGIOCAST GmbH & Co. KG radio advertising times , events and websites as well as new media offers of the programs Radio PSR, R.SA and Energy Sachsen for the entire Free State of Saxony .

Another subsidiary was founded on January 1st, 2001, SNN - Sachsen News Net GmbH is a Saxon content service provider. The broadcasting group in the Radiozentrum Leipzig is part of Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG.

In an average hour, 148,000 people listen to Radio PSR; according to a study of the number of listeners, an average of 935,000 listeners per day were recorded.

Radio PSR reaches around 7.5 million listeners in Saxony and in parts of the neighboring federal states.

Radio PSR broadcasts a full 24-hour program based on the Adult-Contemporary format (AC format for short), i.e. the playlist is defined by popular songs from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and today. A special feature is the positioning of the messages five minutes before the half hour and full hour.

Live program, 10 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday:

Unmoderated music program for the rest of the time, but with weather and traffic every 30 minutes and hourly news. Also includes:

  • From Saturday, 8 p.m. to Sunday, 2 a.m.: "Radio-PSR-Party-Mix" (also Friday, 10 p.m., to Saturday, 4 a.m.)

automation

As with the sister station R.SH , parts of the program are also automated with Radio PSR. The world and Germany news comes from REGIOCAST Radioservices from Leipzig and Kiel.
