The Stellingen Cycle Track is located in the Stellingen district of Hamburg .

The cycling track was built in 1961. It is 250 meters long, made of concrete and was initially open. In 1995 the railway received a one-piece tent roof, which is the largest tent in Europe with an area of 7,000 square meters, and a new synthetic resin covering was applied. The 250 meter long oval is six meters wide and has a curve superelevation of 38 degrees. It is the only covered cycling track in northern Germany. In 2000 and 2005 the German track championships took place on the Velodrome in Stellingen.

The facility is located in the middle of an allotment garden colony . There are other sports facilities in the immediate vicinity: the squash facility Sportwerk Hamburg , the Wolfgang Meyer sports facility with several soccer fields and the tennis facility of the Grün-Weiss Eimsbüttel club.

The railway belongs to the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. In the summer it is, among other things, the home ground of the WET Hamburg Hawks, which compete in the Regionalliga Nord and the Landesliga Hamburg in the sport of inline skate hockey. In winter it is used as an ice rink . There, for example, the HSV Young Freezers play their home games in the German Junior League, the highest junior division in German ice hockey.

As part of the failed application from Hamburg for the 2024 Summer Olympics , considerations were in the room to fundamentally renovate the somewhat outdated Stellingen Velodrome in order to make it Olympic-ready. Alternatively, the construction of a temporary hall for around 5000 spectators was considered.
