Planned route

The cycle expressway is still in the preliminary planning. The line determination procedure has not yet been completed. The line favored in the feasibility study runs from Aachen city center via Wüllnerstraße and Turmstraße, coming on the former railway line, initially on Rütscher Straße to the confluence with Nizzaallee and then on the embankment via Laurensberg to Richterich . This would be two bridges to cross the built in the seventies expressway ( L270 : Toledo ring and Kohlscheider street, 50 ° 48 '  N , 6 ° 4'  O ) and the Castle Park Road ( 50 ° 48 '  N , 6 ° 4'  O ) in Laurensberg to build. In Richterich a course is planned along Roermonderstraße to the intersection with the bypass road (Kohlscheider Straße), behind which the cycle expressway should cross Roermonderstraße and leave to the east. Furthermore, the cycle path is to be led through Kohlscheid on the old Würselen Nord – Kohlscheid railway line . Herzogenrath is then reached on a route west of the Aachen – Mönchengladbach railway line and crossing the railway line before entering the town via a currently dismantled bridge ( 50 ° 52 ′  N , 6 ° 5 ′  E ).
