Rafał Kubicki

Rafał Kubicki (* 1974 ) is a Polish historian who is Professor of Medieval History in Gdansk .

Life

He studied history at the University of Gdansk and theology at the Catholic University of Lublin and completed both courses in 2000 with a master's degree. Afterwards Rafał Kubicki worked in the State Archives in Gdansk. After completing his doctorate in 2004, he also worked as a research assistant at the University of Gdansk. In 2012 he completed his habilitation and became Professor of Archival Studies in 2013 and Professor of the History of the General Middle Ages in Gdansk in 2015.

Rafał Kubicki published numerous works on medieval history in Ordensland Prussia and Royal Prussia , especially the mendicant orders and economic history, but also to the city historical topics such as wills of citizens in Elbing (Elblag). In addition to some Polish-language works, the German-language and English-language publications are listed; translations of the titles have been added in brackets.
