Rafael "Rafa" López Gómez (born April 9, 1985 in Peñafiel ) is a Spanish football player who is under contract with Real Valladolid .

Player career

Rafa López comes from the youth of Real Valladolid . He was slowly introduced to professional football via the B-Team. For this he played 17 games in 2004/2005. Then the midfielder was loaned to the second division SD Eibar . Rafa López also cut a good figure in the Segunda División and made 19 appearances. For his team it was anything but successful, so that relegation was certain at the end of the season. Then Rafa López returned to Valladolid and rose with the team in 2006/2007 sovereign. In the promotion season, however, he was mostly a replacement and only came on a few missions. In the first division, however, he earned a regular place, which is why he was able to recommend himself in the summer of 2008 for a move to Getafe FC .

On September 1, 2014 Rafa López moved to the Bundesliga for SC Paderborn 07 . He signed a two-year contract with the newcomer until June 30, 2016.

For the 2016/17 season López moved back to his youth club Real Valladolid .
