Rafael Méndez (* 1904 , † 1982 ) was a Bolivian football player .

Career

With the national team of Bolivia took attacker at 1926 South American Championship part. Méndez was used in all four games against Chile (1: 7), Argentina (0: 5), Paraguay (1: 6) and Uruguay (0: 6). At the Campeonato Sudamericano in 1927 , the Bolivian played for the national team in three other games against Argentina (1: 7), Uruguay (0: 9) and Peru (2: 3). In July 1930, the player from Universitario La Paz was in the national team for the first World Cup in Uruguay . Méndez played under coach Ulises Saucedo in both World Cup games against Yugoslavia (0: 4) and Brazil (0: 4). Between 1926 and 1930 Méndez was used in the first nine international matches of the Bolivian national team.
