Raffael check
Raffael Scheck (born July 11, 1960 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German historian , professor at Colby College in Waterville ( Maine ), United States .
Scheck studied at the University of Zurich and Brandeis University in Waltham ( Massachusetts ) and completed his habilitation in April 2003 at the University of Basel with a thesis on "Mothers of the Nation: Right-Wing Women in the Weimar Republic." With "Hitlers African victims ” , original: “ Hitler's African victims ” , 2006, as in other of his research projects, he endeavors to revise a Eurocentric view of history in the reception of the 20th century. Since 1994 he has been teaching at Colby College in Walterville (Maine).
