Rage My Bitch was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Kouvola that was formed in 2008 and split up in 2015.

history

The band was founded in 2008 by the drummer Antti Pousi and the guitarist Matti Lämsä. In October of that year Pousi passed away. During the spring of 2009, the group, originally founded as a duo, expanded to a six-member band. In June, a first demo was recorded with producer Tonmi Lillman , which contains four songs. One of them is a remixed version of the song Evolution of a New Born Sin , in which Pousi can still be heard as the drummer. A few gigs were held in 2009 while new songs were being written. In 2010 another demo was released that includes three songs. This year more concerts were given. There was also a music video for the song The Mirror . In 2011 the debut album Fell on Black Season was released via Inverse Records . In 2014, the second album Now Here Nowhere followed. In 2015 the band split up.

style

Pascal Stieler from Legacy magazine wrote in his review of Fell on Black Season that the band plays relatively shallow Melodic Death Metal, reminiscent of the group Engel . Both clear vocals and growls are used in the songs . The use of keyboards, rock riffs and occasional groovy passages is also characteristic. Lateishah Schultz from metal-temple.com also assigned the band to Melodic Death Metal in their review of Now Here Nowhere . The group is very varied. Schultz particularly noticed the synthesizers and keyboards as well as the aggressive and melodic vocals.
